Irish Perioperative Medicine Society: Inaugural IPOMS Webinar Launch – Tuesday 23rd March
Dear All,
We are absolutely delighted to invite you all to attend the Inaugural Irish Perioperative Medicine Society (IPOMS) launch webinar. It will be delivered online on Tuesday the 23rd of March 2021 from 6pm to 8.30pm. This event is FREE and is accompanied by 2 CPD points from the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland. Registration details for the event can be found here: https://registration.ipoms.org/
The event is being hosted and proudly sponsored by EBPOM (Evidence Based Perioperative Medicine). Our international speaker, Prof Monty Mythen, will give a personal account of his experience and involvement in delivering a perioperative medicine service. This will be followed by a presentation of Irish Perioperative Medicine initiatives, and a presentation of the results of a recent national survey on the topic of Perioperative Medicine in Ireland. Attached is a flyer outlining the agenda for the meeting.
The Irish Perioperative Medicine Society aims to provide a platform for like minded people, who want to evolve the practice of Perioperative Medicine in Ireland. Our shared vision is to develop education, collaboration amongst colleagues and improve patient perioperative outcomes. IPOMS is currently a small movement, but the concepts of the society have been kindly supported by the College of Anaesthesiology of Ireland (CAI) and the National Clinical Programme of Anaesthesia (NCPA), amongst countless other supportive colleagues. Our shared goal is to encourage multi-speciality and multi-disciplinary involvement in IPOMS.
At the end of the webinar we will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) in order to establish the interim IPOMS committee. If you are interested in being involved in the IPOMS committee, we welcome you to please email irishpoms@gmail.com to express your interest by 5pm Friday the 19th of March.
Please Register for the event on the 23rd March at 6pm at https://registration.ipoms.org/
For more information see our website www.ipoms.org or please email us at irishpoms@gmail.com
Please take the time to share this event with all of your colleagues – anaesthetist, surgeons, physicians, physiotherapists, dieticians, nursing staff – all involved and interested in the perioperative care of the surgical patient.
We look forward to seeing you all on the 23rd of March at 6pm.
Kindest Regards
Your IPOMS team
