Emerging Leaders Congress 2022: Call for applications

Dear Trainees,

The Australian & New Zealand College of Anaesthesiologists (ANZCA) is offering a single virtual place to a CAI trainee on their prestigious Emerging Leaders Congress (ELC), which will be held just before their annual Congress April 26-28, 2022 in Western Australia. The successful candidate will participate remotely.

If you see yourself as a current and future leader in our specialty and meet the entry criteria outlined, this is a wonderful opportunity to advance your professional interest.

The eligibility criteria are:

  1. Applicants must be within five years* of receiving FCAI or equivalent fellowship. *[Excluding maternity/paternity leave].
  2. Demonstrated evidence of commitment to CAI affairs.
  3. Demonstration of education and teaching in anaesthesia or pain medicine, for example, organising specific teaching/mentoring/professional courses.
  4. Demonstrable Interest in leadership roles in anaesthesia or pain medicine.

We must inform ANZCA of the Irish nominee by 19 November.

Please return completed to lzelenska@coa.ie, no later than Thursday 11 November 2021 0900am, headline labelled “Emerging Leaders Congress Application”.

Applications will be reviewed by five CAI appointed reviewers, who will score them according to these criteria and nominate a CAI trainee to (virtually) attend the ELC.
