On Oct 6-8, 2024 the International Anaesthesia and Acute Care Conference 2024 was held in Aby Dhabi, UAE. The year’s conference was held in conjunction with the International Conference on Surgical Specialties in the Battlefield and themed on the role of Artificial Intelligence in the future of anaesthesia and critical care. The CAI delivered a session on the future of education and training of anaesthesiologists, with contributions from Dr Eilis Condon, Professors Camillus Power and George Shorten. Keynote speakers included Professor Sandra Kane-Gill on Telehealth and Virtual Care for Critically Ill Patients, Prof G Shorten on Learning Analytics and the future of training doctors and Professor John Doyle on Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence in Clinical Medicine and Anesthesiology.

The IAACC is rapidly becoming a highly influential event for our disciplines and the CAI is proud to contribute.
