Final Fellowship CAI Examination

 

Online Application for FCAI

 

 

 Written Examination: 9th February 2017

Applications will open to include Bahrain, Penang & Perdana centres.  Applications can be downloaded here and must be posted or sent by courier.  (Application opening date 1st December)

 

 

 

Important Notice: From January 2016 only those with a score of 3,3 will progress from the written section to the Clinical and SOE.

Any candidate who carries a score of 2 in the written component will need to re-sit the written exam from 2017 to obtain a score of 3.3.

 

A Candidate who is successful in the Final Fellowship examination who has complied with such provisions as determined by the Council shall be entitled to be admitted a Fellow of The College of Anaesthetist of Ireland, on conferring the Fellow shall be entitled to use the post-nominal letters FCAI.

 

The Final Fellowship examination is separated into two examinations

•Written Paper

•Clinical/SOE

 

 

Eligiblity

 • Candidates who have completed 36 months in the practice of anaesthesia which is not limited to Ireland,

   where an applicant is on the Irish National Anaesthesia training programme, she/he must have entered SAT 4

 • Where a candidate has previously attempted the FCAI and is subsequently accepted onto SAT

 • Candidates who have passed within 10 years preceding the current examination date or has an

   exemption from sitting the Membership examination

Applications

 

Applications may be sent via Postal mail or Courier.

 

Please Note applications will not be accepted via email or fax

 

Candidates wishing to sit the Fellowship examination should submit an application form below it to the examinations department, all applications, first time and repeat, must include:

1 passport-sized photograph stapled to an application form. 

Must be signed by Head of Department (HR department or Supervisor of your practice)

Include College Of Anaesthetists College ID which can be found on all college correspondance to you (please leave blank if you are not a college member)

 An application without payment in full will not get an exam place. We cannot accept cash. We can accept:

  • (i) Visa Debit Card
    (ii) Credit card (Visa or Mastercard)
    (iii) Sterling or Euro personal cheque (Sterling cheque amount should be equivalent to euro conversion rate)
    (iv) Bank draft
