Annual Conferring Ceremony 2025

Date: Friday 20th June 2025
Venue: O’Reilly Hall, UCD, Belfield, Dublin 4

Online registration will open in Spring 2025.
If you are eligible to be conferred in 2025 you will receive an email invitation to register for the ceremony.

Please ensure we have your current active email address on our database or update in your My College log in.
Please check your junk mail box for any correspondence.

The conferring fee is mandatory and must be paid in order to receive your parchment including if you intend to be conferred in absentia.

Please ensure the name given on the registration form is the name exactly as you want it to appear on your parchment.

If a conferee is unable to attend the conferring ceremony, you will be conferred In Absentia and your parchment will be posted to your address following the ceremony.

Please note, the postage can take six weeks or more for some overseas countries.

You are allowed to bring 2 guests into the conferring ceremony.   Children under 12 are strictly not permitted to attend the ceremony and will not be allowed entrance into the conferring hall.

A family viewing room will be available for family members to watch live. All children must be supervised at all times. Please note the family room has limited capacity.

Your gown will be available before the ceremony the cost of which is included in your fee.
It does not need to be pre-booked.
All robes must be returned following the ceremony.

An official photographer will be present on the day to take photographs before and after the ceremony. They will also take photographs of each conferee receiving their parchment. Only the photographer, no others are permitted to approach the platform with cameras.

The ceremony usually takes approximately an hour and a half.

The ceremony will be followed by a reception in the O’Reilly Hall conservatory.

The ceremony will be livestreamed in the Family Viewing Room.
The live stream link will be available to share with family and friends who cannot attend on the day.
The link will be available upon request on the day of the ceremony.
