The College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland and the Faculty of Pain Medicine will host the Congress of Anaesthesiology on Thursday 18 & Friday 19 of May 2023. The Congress will be in-person at UCD. We are aware that Anaesthesiologists and Intensive Care specialists will be at the forefront of the response to those most impacted by the COVID-19 virus. The risks of spreading the infection amongst a large number of delegates at our annual scientific meeting and the subsequent lengthy quarantine period creates an unacceptable risk to the health system.
