CAI: New roles: Director of Technology Enhanced Learning and Clinical Lead for Simulation-based Training.

As the training of doctors becomes competency-based, the role of simulation and other forms of technology enhanced learning (TEL) have become even more important and widely adopted by Training Bodies. Open for business

Government advice is that all non-essential travel and non-essential contact with others is now to be avoided. Considering that announcement and in order to protect the health of the College’s staff and visitors, we will close our building from 5pm today, Wednesday 18th March 2020. In honour of International Women’s Day 2020, the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland today shares the stories of two female anaesthetists who contributed to the advancement of women in medicine . BJA/RCoA- CAI: Collaborative Research Grant

The National Institute of Academic Anaesthesia (NIAA) have announced that an award of up to EU 100K per annum jointly funded by the British Journal of Anaesthesia (BJA) and the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland (CAI) will be made available to support and stimulate collaboration between investigators in the Republic of Ireland with investigators in the UK (including N.
