The College Council governs the college, setting standards and managing training for anaesthesiology, intensive care, and pain medicine.

Education

The college training department organises and is responsible for all educational programs, workshops, and ongoing events.

Training

The College’s core function is delivering Postgraduate Specialist Training in Anaesthesiology, accredited by the Medical Council of Ireland.

Wellbeing

The Wellbeing, Health and Resilience Committee supports the wellbeing, health and resilience of all trainees and anaesthesiologists throughout their careers.

NAPSAC 2026

Mark your calendars for this year’s National Patient Safety in Anaesthesia Conference, taking place on Friday, 6th November at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel Dublin.

CAI Annual Congress of Anaesthesiology 2023

The College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland and the Faculty of Pain Medicine hosted the Congress of Anaesthesiology on the 19th and 20th May 2022.
